This should have been better than a 3 star book. The plot was reasonable, the supporting characters are great, the villain was really nasty, the hero is really swashbuckling, and there were numerous hot scenes. The hot scenes may have been just a little too numerous. Antonia said several times that she and Trey Deverill had a lot in common but it was beginning to seem like there was really only one thing. I also found it annoying that Antonia insists, loudly, over and over again that, in spite o This should have been better than a 3 star book. The hot scenes may have been just a little too numerous. Antonia said several times that she and Trey Deverill had a lot in common but it was beginning to seem like there was really only one thing. I also found it annoying that Antonia insists, loudly, over and over again that, in spite of being a female, she has a brain and can think and make decisions for herself. She then proceeds to demonstrate over and over again that she doesn't really make good decisions at all.

This one was dull. Then why did I finish it? Well honestly I was too lazy and preggo to get another book. Too far away! I was all, whatever I can just finish it. And I did skim quite a lot in the second half. They were doing it all the time anyway and not a lot happened. That was a problem. After 150 pages or so not a lot happened. It was more them smexing and considering he wanted to protect her from a murderer I had expected a bit more suspense. It was just them, and even if other people were a This one was dull.
